Cookie Policy

INTRODUCTION

We use cookies and similar technologies (e.g., local storage, pixels) for site functionality, security, and to understand usage. You can control preferences via your browser and our consent panel.

By “cookies” we also refer to other local browser storage (localStorage/IndexedDB) when the purpose/effect is equivalent (e.g., keeping resume drafts for signed-out users).

For information on personal data processing, see the Privacy Notice.

WHAT COOKIES ARE

Cookies are small text files placed in your browser when you visit a site. They can hold identifiers and settings that enable site functionality, payment security, or audience measurement.

WEB BEACONS & PIXEL TAGS

We sometimes use web beacons (pixel tags) to measure page effectiveness or transactional email delivery. These technologies don’t automatically collect data that directly identifies you. If you voluntarily provide data (e.g., create an account), we may correlate technical events for security and operations.

HOW WE USE THESE TECHNOLOGIES

  • Essential operations: navigation, authentication, fraud prevention (Stripe), remembering consent.
  • Aggregated audience analytics (Google Analytics 4) — only with consent.
  • Security, stability, error diagnostics, and performance.
  • Simple attribution for own/affiliate campaigns (no ad profiling).

COOKIE CATEGORIES

We group technologies by category so you can manage preferences.

  • Strictly necessaryRequired for the site and payments to work; cannot be disabled in our systems.
  • FunctionalImprove experience (e.g., remember settings). In our case, we mainly use local storage for resume drafts for users without an account.
  • AnalyticsHelp us understand how the site is used (pages, devices, durations). Optional and run only with consent.
  • MarketingAdvertising/remarketing and profiling. We do NOT use these cookies at present.

Note: we do not use marketing or remarketing cookies (Facebook/TikTok/Microsoft, etc.). If we introduce such technologies in the future, we’ll ask for explicit consent before loading and update this policy.

ANALYTICS COOKIES (GOOGLE ANALYTICS 4)

These load only after explicit consent for the “Analytics” category. GA4 uses IP anonymization; we do not enable remarketing features.

THIRD-PARTY PROVIDERS (INFO TABLE)

Entries apply only if those tools are active on the site. At present we use GA4 (analytics, with consent) and Stripe (strictly necessary).

YOUR CONSENT

On your first visit we show a consent panel with: Accept all, Reject all, Customize. You can change preferences anytime via the “Cookie settings” link in the footer.

  • Accept all — enables all allowed categories (including Analytics).
  • Reject all — keeps only Strictly necessary.
  • Customize — choose allowed categories granularly.

For Google Analytics 4 we use Consent Mode and block scripts until explicit consent.

HOW TO MANAGE COOKIES IN YOUR BROWSER

Most browsers let you delete or block cookies. Steps vary by version:

  • Google Chrome — Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data.
  • Mozilla Firefox — Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data.
  • Microsoft Edge — Settings → Privacy, search, and services → Clear browsing data.
  • Safari (macOS/iOS) — Preferences/Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data.

If you block strictly necessary cookies, some features (e.g., Stripe payments) may not work.

THIRD-PARTY COOKIES & DOMAINS

Some features are provided by third parties and may set cookies on their domains:

  • Stripe (stripe.com) — payments and fraud prevention. Stripe’s policies apply on their pages/iframes.
  • Google Analytics (google.com) — audience measurement (consent-only). Possible transfers to the USA (SCCs).
  • Supabase — authentication and cloud storage (local session settings).

INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS

Some providers may transfer data outside the EU/EEA (e.g., USA). We use Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or equivalent safeguards to ensure adequate protection.

CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this policy to reflect technical or legal changes. The “Last updated” date will be adjusted accordingly.
